THE IDEA BEHIND LUCENTIA

Life needs more
than one pillar.

Stone path with a wooden railing beside a forested mountain valley

Lucentia is built around a simple idea: life is easier to carry when it isn’t resting on a single source of support. Your pillars are the parts of life that help you feel grounded, especially when things fall apart.

Relationships, financial stability, purpose, routine, health, or community might be among them. You decide what belongs on that list.

In therapy, we can look at which supports are strong, which are carrying too much weight, and where something new may need to be built. A wider range of support can give you more to lean on when one part of life changes.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Jorge A. Reyes Del RioLMHC

You are the expert on your life.

I’m a bilingual New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience providing outpatient psychotherapy in English and Spanish, both online and in person. My background includes community mental health, higher-acuity outpatient care, risk assessment, and coordination with families, schools, and other systems involved in a person’s care. I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, and couples.

I see therapy as a collaborative process. You bring your lived experience, goals, and perspective; I bring clinical training, structure, curiosity, and tools. Together, we look at what isn’t working, test strategies, and adjust over time to build coping systems that fit your life.

Anxiety and depression are central areas of my work. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and DBT-informed interventions alongside psychodynamic and supportive approaches. Sometimes we focus on practical coping tools; sometimes we slow down to understand where a pattern came from and why it keeps returning. The approach evolves alongside you.
